Ph.D. Landscape Ecology and Conservation Biology

Tom Hoctor works with Wildlands on large-scale projects, including the Polk County Habitat Conservation Plan. Tom completed a B.A. in History and Science at Harvard University, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Conservation Biology and Landscape Ecology at the University of Florida. His research and conservation interests include regional conservation planning, wildlife corridors, large carnivore ecology and conservation, focal species habitat modeling, and Geographic Information Systems applications in reserve design.
