Where do
Donations to Wildlands Conservation Go?
Education
and Program Initiatives A donation to Wildlands
Conservation is an investment in the preservation of the
environment. Your
donations are used to fund important initiatives that are
not implemented otherwise. These initiatives include:
Environmental education of the general public, schools and
community groups on conservation issues including, but not
limited to: the protection and management of listed species,
land acquisition programs, why and how we manage, the “big
picture” of Florida’s ecological future and what
you can do.
Community-based Environmental
Initiatives Professional support of community-based
environmental initiatives. Wildlands
Conservation uses donations to assist communities and community-based
organizations in formulating sound environmental positions
based on the best-available science.
Land Acquisition
Support of new environmental land acquisition programs both
at the state and local level (assistance in establishing
and participating in political action committees that focus
on developing land acquisition referendums and running promotional
campaigns).
Matching
Funds for Scientific Research
Obtaining funding as matches to complete scientific studies
that fall between the gaps of what is accomplished through
academia and as a requirement of permitting.
